Barra Cassidy is a predominantly self-taught artist based in North Sligo, whose work has been exhibited widely in both solo and group shows across Ireland. His solo exhibitions include shows at The Bridge, The Hamilton Gallery, and The Hyde Bridge Gallery, while his group exhibitions span prestigious venues and events such as the RHA, RUA, Iontas, Sculpture in Context at the Botanic Gardens, Cairde Visual at The Model in Sligo, and the Ceramics Ireland Triennial. Cassidy’s work has also featured in recurring group shows at The Hamilton Gallery, The Open Window Gallery, and The Doorway Gallery in Dublin. In recognition of his artistic achievements, he has received several accolades, including The Mill Cove Gallery Award and The Mill Cove Commission Award. His work is held in collections worldwide.
